4 thin-cut steaks or tenderized/cube steak
2 c flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 Eggs beaten
For the Gravy:
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 c chicken stock
2 tablespoons cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon juice to taste

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 320 degrees F or 160 degrees C.

Step 2: Place a large frying pan or skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 3: Add in 1/2-inch oil and allow it to become hot.

Step 4: Put the flour and eggs into two different large mixing bowls.

Step 5: Dredge the steak into the flour, then into the egg, and back to the flour again. Press each steak until well coated.

Step 6: Put the steaks into the hot oil and fry each side for about 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Step 7: Place the fried steak on a wire rack over a baking sheet, then place it inside the oven to keep its warm temperature.

Step 8: Remove the oil and excess flour from the same skillet.

Step 9: Add the butter and allow it to melt.

Step 10: Add in the flour and whisk for a few minutes, then add in the chicken stock gradually. Whisk every addition until the sauce is thick.

Step 11: Simmer for a few minutes. Season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.

Step 12: Serve the fried steak over rice or mashed potatoes with the gravy on the side. Enjoy!
