This is a excellent recipe for Beef Bourguignon/classic french beef stew! I made it yesterday, and it turned out wonderful! My family and I loved it! I love soups/stews any time of the year so I did not let the fact that it is “July” stop me from making this.. However, I did not want to heat up my house using the oven for a long period of time, so after I put it together I cooked it in my crock pot and it worked well! I am happy with the results even though I think the carrots and potatoes took a bit longer to get tender..
Next time if I make it in the crock pot I will add the carrots and potatoes sooner..

I appreciate how well written the recipe is too. I love that you don’t miss any details, like what heat to brown the meat on. I know how to cook, but it really makes the recipe more approachable.
